DESCRIPTION:
APW - Waltham, Riverside Maximus with winding Indicator, very rare, 23J, 16S, gold-filled OF case with rigid bow, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, diamond endstones on balance and escape wheel, jeweled barrel, Lossier inner terminal hairspring, circular pattern nickel damascene, s#23100013. This Riverside Maximus winding Indicator with circular pattern damascene is quite rare; examples we have encountered are from a run of 200 watches spanning serial numbers 23100001 to 23100200.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, winding indicator advances when wound but hand is substantially out of index, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, regulator spring retained by a blued replacement screw, balance jewel setting with mismatched screws with one having a flat head and the other a rounded head; flawless dial; excellent hands; case with extra lever-set slot at 1, case shows very little wear, dings to band at 7:30 and 10:30, no dents, excellent engine turning detail; rigid bow with good engraving detail, crown shows very little wear; glass crystal with glue excess at its seat.
